Consultation

The project includes a brief to consult widely with local Key Stakeholders and all who wish to have an input on the proposals.

A Key Stakeholder is a person or organisation with a significant interest in the preparation of, and outcomes from, the project appraisal. This includes agencies, authorities, organisations and private bodies with responsibilities or ownerships that affect the overall management of the shoreline in a plan.

The project meetings currently planned are:

26th January 2009 - Felixstowe Liaison Group. This is the overall project steering group.

2nd March 2009 - Public Consultation. 1 pm to 7 pm in Felixstowe Town Hall. Open to Key Stakeholders and all others. The options put forward will be made available for the public to peruse. Members of the Project Team were available to discuss the proposed options.For further information, please contact Victoria Tonks on 020 8774 3902.

The publicity materials used at this meeting to show each the outline options for the scheme can be downloaded below:

30th March 2009 - Public Consultation. 1 pm to 7 pm in Felixstowe Town Hall. Open to Key Stakeholders and all others. The meeting is to inform Stakeholders and others about the preferred option, which will have been derived from the options shown at the meeting on March 2nd, taking into account the input from that meeting.

18th July 2009 - Public Consultation. Following the submission of the Project Appraisal Report to the Environment Agency the final refined scheme proposal which had already been presented to the Felixstowe Liaison Group was presented to the Stakeholders through a final Public Exhibition at Felixstowe Town Hall between 10 am and 2 pm.
